Career Highlights

Greg Dyson serves as Vice President for Spiritual Life & Intercultural Leadership and Campus Pastor at Taylor University. He has the privilege of shepherding the spiritual life of the campus, mentoring students and staff, and fostering a Christ-centered learning environment. In his roles, Greg focuses on four key points of engagement: Chapel, intercultural programs, church and community connections, and the PREACH initiative, which equips those called to pastoral ministry to more effectively minister the Word of God.

Before joining Taylor University, Greg served in pastoral ministry for more than three decades, where he focused on church leadership and creating ministries that strengthened congregations and their communities. Beyond the church, he has exceptional experience in Christian higher education, working at schools such as Cedarville University and Springfield College where he served in many areas from enrollment management to church relations and intercultural initiatives. Additionally, Greg has enjoyed working alongside civic leaders, nonprofit organizations, law enforcement, housing authorities, and community partners such as Project Homeless Connect in Springfield, Massachusetts to address tangible needs while bringing lasting hope.

One of the most meaningful chapters of Greg’s ministry story was the founding the Lion’s Den Youth Outreach Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. From 2002-2012, the ministry welcomed more than 50,000 visits from teenagers while partnering with dozens of organizations to provide mentoring, leadership development, academic support, and spiritual encouragement to young people throughout the region.

Whether ministering to students, pastors, educators, community leaders, or families, Greg’s desire is always the same: to encourage people toward faithful lives marked by wisdom, service, and hope.

Greg’s faith journey began in the Northeast, where he first heard the gospel through his local church and came to faith in Jesus Christ through the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship. That foundation has shaped every season of his life and ministry, inspiring a lifelong commitment to biblical teaching, servant leadership, and helping individuals and communities flourish.

Greg and his wife, Gina, have enjoyed over 40 years of friendship as husband and wife. They have three adult children and are proud grandparents. When he’s not shepherding Taylor, he enjoys model trains, dreaming about his old motorcycle collection, and being a grandfather.
