K. Paul Maurer

For the past 22 years, Pastor K.Paul Maurer has poured his life into helping people discover that they matter deeply to God. For the last decade, he’s served as the Lead Pastor of Avalon Missionary Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where his heartbeat is simple and contagious: every person has value, every story matters, and the church should be the first place people feel that.

At home, life is wonderfully full. He and his wife Bethany—the true hero who keeps the whole operation running—are raising four incredible kids (ages 13, 11, 8, and 7) and one enormous, lovable bernedoodle named Chase, who believes he’s the fifth child.
Whether he’s preaching, pastoring, parenting, or being dragged around the neighborhood by a 90‑pound dog, he brings the same passion: pointing people to Jesus with joy, honesty, and a whole lot of heart.
