Sydnee Follett

Sydnee Follett is the Children’s Minister at Markle Church of Christ in Markle, Indiana. She’s passionate about serving families and their children, eager to see them grow in their love for Jesus. She was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, and now lives in Huntington, Indiana. Sydnee graduated from Taylor University in May 2025, where she served as the Lead Chapel Coordinator under Rev. Greg Dyson, and enjoyed Taylor life as a resident of Third West Olson. During her senior year, Sydnee spent the spring researching disability ministry which resulted in her publishing a paper titled “RISE Kids: A Disability Ministry at Markle Church of Christ”. After a summer interning in Colorado Springs, Sydnee saw firsthand the need for greater accessibility and inclusion for children with disabilities in the church and became passionate about helping change that narrative in the local church. She is now living in the reality of this research as her church in Markle prepares to launch RISE Kids in May!

In true Taylor fashion, Sydnee met her fiance, Tyler Smith, when he moved onto her brother wing and now they are counting down the days until their wedding in August. When she’s not spending time with preschoolers and elementary students at church, Sydnee enjoys exploring new coffee shops, visiting with her friends, spending time with the high school girls at youth group, and a good game of bananagrams.
