Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Morris

This morning’s Chapter Speaker is The Reverend Dr. Emmanuel Morris, Sr., Pastor of North Davidson United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC. A trailblazer in the Western North Carolina Conference, Rev. Dr. Morris is the first Black pastor to serve as President of the Local Pastors and Associate Members, and as National Treasurer of their General Conference Fellowship.
He also served on the Western North Carolina Conference Board of Ordained Ministry, former National Vice President of the Sinoe County Association in the Americas (SCAA), and presently Chairs the Samuel Morris Legacy Committee of the SCAA, Inc. The SCAA is working currently to impact Sinoe County to educate and impact youth in that community.
Originally from Liberia, he was born in Sinoe County (where “Samuel Kaboo Morris” hailed from) and is now a proud American. Our speaker is married to his middle school sweetheart, Lay Speaker Marilyn Morris. Together they share four children and two grandchildren.
Rev. Dr. Morris is a Certified Biblical Researcher and theologian and possesses a deep passion for evangelism and integration. Above all, he desires to be known simply as a child of God, striving to fulfill his divine calling.
