Rev. Dr. Tim McConnell

Tim McConnell serves as the Lead Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Colorado Springs, an historic congregation in the center of one of the evangelical world’s most celebrated communities. In March 2025, he took on the additional role of Director of the PREACH Initiative for Taylor University, inspiring Pastors in their vocation and raising up the next generation of faithful preachers. His leadership reflects deep devotion to the continuing impact of a faithful church on the life and flourishing of a city. Tim holds degrees from Northwestern, Princeton Theological, Oxford and a PhD in Historical Theology from the University of Virginia. He lives in Colorado Springs with his wife Abigail and fourth child, Liam, while the rest of the kids are out of the house! Including Peter who is a first year at Taylor (Bergwall Hall).
