Dr. Evan Howard

Dr. Evan B. Howard is the founder and director of Spirituality Shoppe, a Center for the Study of Christian Spirituality. He is also a retired professor from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is the author of a variety of books and articles. He leads workshops and seminars on Christian spirituality worldwide and lives in rural Colorado. Most recently, Evan is chair of the board and volunteer with The Shepherd’s Hand in Montrose, CO, a resource center for unhoused and economically vulnerable people.

Evan is married to his wife, Cheri, and they have two daughters. Since 1998, Evan and Cheri have been exploring semi-eremitical life in the high deserts of Colorado, though they wrote their first monastic rules of life together in 1981.
