Heather Larson, Board of Trustees, Taylor University, Founder, LiveGive, Algonquin, IL

Heather is the founder and principal advisor for LiveGive, a philanthropy and leadership advisory firm. She serves clients who want to give money away generously and strategically, including high net-worth families and large, publicly-traded companies. She also serves as a leadership coach for CEO’s and boards. Heather’s expertise in executive leadership and strategic philanthropy comes from more than 25 years of non-profit experience, including her work for the American Red Cross and Willow Creek Community Church. As an executive, Heather was responsible for a $77M annual budget and led 350 employees. She oversaw strategic partnerships with over 150 non-profit organizations around the world, launched Celebration of Hope, managed the distribution of approx. $50 million in grants, and led a $10 million Care Center project. 

Heather’s leadership, vision, and strategy has always been about investing in great people around significant causes. Whether partnering with a local entrepreneur in Guatemala, brainstorming with a community leader in a hut in Malawi, or problem-solving with a business owner in Chicago, Heather loves encouraging possibilities and seeing people live out their God-given potential.

Heather is an alumnus of Taylor University – where she served as student body president, and she is an alumnus of Kellogg School of Business. She serves as a board member of Taylor University, Clearwater Capital Partners and Development Associates International. Heather’s favorite moments are spent hanging out with her husband, Dan, and their two daughters, Teagan and Avery.
