Richard Allen Farmer, Senior Pastor-Teacher, Crossroads Church, Stone Mountain, GA

Since January 2014, Richard Allen Farmer has been the Senior Pastor-Teacher of the Crossroads Church, in Stone Mountain, GA. Prior to that he lived in Dallas, TX which was the base of his international itinerant ministry as a bible expositor, lecturer, concert artist and worship leader. A native of the Bronx, NY, Pastor Farmer has earned the Bachelor of Music degree from Nyack College (Nyack, NY) and the Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary (Princeton, NJ). He earned the Doctor of Ministry (Dmin.) degree from Emory University in 2020. In 2017, Dr. Farmer was inducted into the Martin Luther King, Jr. Board of Preachers, at Morehouse College.

After serving as pastor of the Bethany Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, PA(1980-1988), Dr. Farmer went on to serve as Dean of the Chapel at both Gordon College (1988-1992) and Taylor University (1999-2002).

A global Christian, Pastor Farmer has preached or lectured in Mali, Burkina Faso, Côte d’ Ivoire, Kenya, France, England, Peru, Chile, Guinea, Germany, the Philippines, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, Papua New Guinea and most states of the USA.

On the fun side, Pastor Farmer is a 3,500-hour private pilot with instrument rating, a SCUBA diver, a passionate Scrabble player, a motorcyclist, a Segway rider and animal lover.

Two of the great delights of his life are his wife of 40+ years, Rosemary, and their adult son, Timothy.
