Jonathan Lotz, Evangelist

Even coming from a well-known family (Grandson of evangelist Billy Graham; son of Danny & Anne Graham Lotz), Jonathan is certainly no stranger to pain and suffering. Though he didn’t think it would ever happen to him, Jonathan experienced athletic disappointment, abuse, cancer, divorce, unemployment and Covid. Jonathan tells how God has brought him through challenge after challenge. You’ll be infused with hope as he shares his story of how God has changed his life through the Power of the Cross of Jesus Christ.

Jonathan is an ordained Evangelist who oversees Jonathan Lotz Ministries and recently served as an interim pastor for The Revolution Church in Garner, NC. He has also served as a delivery driver for Kennedy Office out of Raleigh, NC; the Hospitality Director for Chick-fil-A and as an Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach for Calvary Day School in Winston Salem, NC.

For Chick-fil-A and Kennedy Office, Jonathan integrated his Faith in Jesus Christ & utilized his gifts of hospitality, administration and encouragement while serving a cup of cold water in Jesus’ Name in the workplace. He provided personal customer service & servant leadership to his staff.

As a coach, Jonathan would pose the question, “Who do you play for,” to gauge where his student-athletes focus lay. He then helped them refocus on developing their gifts to the best of their ability and playing for God’s Glory. He oversaw the development of basketball fundamentals, post development and team unity.

As an evangelist, Jonathan is committed to preaching the Word of God and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in need of Hope. He has preached the Gospel around the United States as well as in other countries. He has served on staff with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association; the Fellowship of Christian AthletesBuild the Village, a missions organization in East Africa; and Park Cities Presbyterian Church (PCA). He has also served as Vice-President and President of the NC Vocational Evangelists. Currently, he is serving as Vice-President for the NC Baptist Evangelists.

Jonathan desires to: Encourage the Leader; Equip the Laymen; and Evangelize the Lost. He preaches regularly throughout the United States leading revivals for churches, speaking at retreats, leading educational tours to Washington DC, engages communities for Here’s Hope projects, provides leadership training, leads chapel services, officiates weddings, performs pre-marriage counseling, provides pulpit supply, conducts evangelism training, does marketplace ministry and much more.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

  1. What are you afraid of? Fear of failure? Fear of disappointment?
  2. How have you lost your focus? Have you been careless with your thoughts? Actions? Words? Websites that you have visited? Places that you frequent?
  3. Who are you committed to sharing the Good News with this week?
