Pastor Sean Villanueva, Pastor, Assembly of God, Springfield, MA

I grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, attended middle and high school at a small Christian school (Pioneer Valley Christian School) and grew up in an Assemblies of God Church (Evangel Assembly of God). I attended community colleges while serving in youth ministry and had the honor of serving as the Program Director of a youth outreach center for a year which was instituted by Pastor Greg Dyson call the Lion’s Den. I attended Word of Life Bible Institute in upstate New York where I met my wife of 8 years, and from there we both went on to attend and receive Bachelor’s Degrees from Boston Baptist College. From there my wife and I served as interns at Church of the Redeemer on Cape Cod, and this church would come to ordain me for Ministry. Currently I serve as the Associate Pastor at Faith Assembly of God in Hyannis, MA and have been here for 5 years. My role has allowed me to partner with Youth for Christ and neighboring churches to reach the students of Cape Cod in Jesus’ name. By God’s grace my wife Jessica and I have 2 amazing daughters: Amara who is 6 and Mila who is now 4. We look forward to following where the Lord leads and reflecting the love and grace He has lavished on us.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

  1. What areas do you need to let God in and set aside your need for control?
  2. What is one way God has shown you he is greater than your best today?
