I was born in the heart of Silicon Valley and grew up in Cupertino, CA–home of Apple. I went on to complete my B.S. in Electrical Engineering and worked as an engineer for a few years. Since transitioning into pastoral ministry, I’ve had the joy of serving congregations in northeast Ohio (just outside Cleveland) and the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Currently, I reside on the southside of Chicago and serve on the pastoral team of Holy Trinity Church, Chicago–a church comprised of four congregations in the city. I serve in the Hyde Park Congregation where my responsibilities include serving our university community and our neighborhood community groups. I’ve been pastoring for nearly 12 years. I have the privilege of attending Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where I received the M.Div. and Th.M. degrees and where I’m currently working toward completing my Ph.D.

I’m married to Christy and we have three children, with a fourth scheduled to arrive on November 20th. Assuming all goes well, we will have four children five years and under! God’s grace in my life is the best thing about me and my family constantly provides me reasons to keep smiling. I enjoy a good cheeseburger, playing basketball, and yes, I’ve already started listening to Christmas music.

Monday Morning: Reflect

In what ways has God acted in your life?

Where do you feel God’s absence?

Tuesday Evening: Reflect

What is surprising about this passage?

Why do you think it is so significant that this is the first miracle recorded in Acts?

What has been a mighty work of God in your life?

Wednesday Morning: Reflect

What about the miracle in Acts 3:1-26 do you find intriguing?

What is surprising to you about Peter’s message?

After discussing the role and place of miracles today, why are or aren’t they still happening?
