Martin Luther

This October marks the 500th anniversary of the start of the Protestant Reformation, which was launched by the publication of Martin Luther’s “Ninety-Five Theses” protesting various practices by the Roman Catholic church.  The Protestant Reformation is one of the most significant events in Christian history, and all of our lives have been deeply impacted by it.  Led by Martin Luther and other Reformers such as John Calvin and Huldrych Zwingli, the Reformation brought us the three “solas”:  sola scriptura (“by scripture alone”), sola fide (“by faith alone”), and sola gratia (“by grace alone”).  In this chapel service we celebrate the historical, theological, and missional legacy of the Protestant Reformation.
