For the beginning of the semester for the fall of 2020 we will be moving forward with the chapel program in a way that honors the guidelines put before us by the Governor of the State of Indiana. Earlier in the summer we outlined dividing the student body into three (3) groups for chapel attendance. This was based upon an anticipation of the State of Indiana being in Phase 5. Unfortunately, we are still in Phase 4.5, thus our indoor gatherings are limited to 250 people (with Social distancing and masks). As such we will be dividing the student body into six (6) groups for chapel attendance. We hope to be able to adjust this as the semester progresses. Here are the student groups below. For faculty and staff interested in attending chapel in person, please choose a group with which whom you are already connected and join their rotation for the Rediger/Odle sessions.
Rediger – In person in Rediger Chapel/Auditorium
A small group – A small group on your wing/floor or a small group of friends. While this can be your “small group” from your wing or floor, it can also be a group of friends that desires to make participating in chapel once a week together a regular part of your week
Wing/Floor – Work together to decide as a wing/floor the best setting for you to participate in chapel together. Physical spaces in residence halls vary, but think creatively while considering the social distancing guidelines regarding how as a wing/floor you might use campus spaces to make a weekly rhythm for your wing/floor.
